Thank you for your interest in hosting a Community Solar project in our area.
Solarize Rogue, in partnership with the Oregon Clean Power Coop, builds and maintains Community Solar projects that are much larger than what can be built on a residential home.
We are looking for up to 15 acres of land, RV storage sites or large commercial rooftops with plenty of sun that are served by Pacific Power. Community Solar projects push the energy they produce directly to the grid, where it then gets distributed locally by the utility company. The site owner signs a lease agreement with us and gets paid for the use of their property. The Solarize Rogue/Oregon Clean Power Coop team builds and maintains the solar system, so there are no additional responsibilities for the site owner.
Community Solar projects provide a big benefit to the communities. Folks who help pay for the system get bill credits on their home or small business’ Pacific Power monthly bill. In addition, low income families can receive energy to power their homes at a 50% or greater discount. All the participants also rest assured that their energy costs will remain stable over the years.
If you want to help our community generate more energy locally, please complete the form below with your property details. Unfortunately not all properties are good candidates for solar projects, so please include as much detail as you can so that we can determine your property’s suitability. We will get in touch with you shortly.
And most importantly, THANK YOU for considering becoming a Community Solar host. We can’t do it without you!
